Cammas Farm is offering a fun-filled, spring-themed adventure and easter egg trail.  

A paid child ticket includes:

  • A game card for each paying child
  • A thrilling egg-venture through the farm and bluebell woods

Hedingham Castle

Hedingham Castle, in Halstead, will be hosting a number of activities between Sunday 6th April and Monday 21st April 2025, providing people with the opportunity to enjoy some history, adventure, and family fun.

Take part in one of the Easter Trails, including the Enchanted Egg Hunt and Woodland Fairytrail, meet some birds of prey up close, watch a magical puppet show and make your own puppet to take home, and see medieval knights battle it out in front of the ancient castle!

Go Ape Chelmsford is set within Hylands Park and is the perfect day out for an active family. There are three, action-packed high ropes courses, designed for all ages and abilities.  

During the Easter holidays, Go Ape is open daily, 10am – 5pm.

Wildlife Weekend at Prittlewell Priory

Prittlewell Priory will be running its Wildlife Weekend on 12th – 13th April 2025, 11am – 3pm. This is a fun family event with animal handling, crafting, face painting, an activity trail, and more!  

This Easter, families are invited to come down to the Priory for a spring celebration of all creatures great and small and learn how to support local wildlife. The team from Exotic Explorers will bring furry, feathery, and even scaly friends for hands-on animal experiences!  

You will be able to have your face painted like your favourite animal, get creative with a critter craft to take home and visit stalls from local wildlife organisations to learn how we can care for the animals around us.

Good Friday Festival

Easter in Burnham-on-Crouch

If you live within our new retirement community at Burnham Waters, or you live locally and you are looking for things do this Easter in Burnham-on-Crouch, we have a few suggestions!  

Mangapps Railway Museum

Southminster Road, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, CM0 8QG

Mangapps Railway Museum is a privately owned working railway and museum in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex.  It features a 0.75-mile standard passenger carrying line. The Railway has 18 steam and diesel locomotives and over 80 carriages and wagons.

Trains will be running every day during the Easter holidays, 7th-21st April 2025.

PLUS, over the Easter weekend (18th/19th/20th/21st) the museum will be holding a special Easter Egg Hunt. Steam trains will be operating on the 20th & 21st.

No booking is required for normal entry and train travel, but children taking part in the Easter Egg Hunt must be pre-booked.

Riverside Park
