This year Hedingham Castle is running a special The Falconer's Easter Trail.
This will be running on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd April 2026, 11am - 4pm
Explore the grounds of Hedingham Castle with the brand-new Falconer’s Easter Trail - a family-friendly route inspired by the castle’s historic connection to birds of prey. Then meet real-life birds of prey with Eden Falconry.
Follow the path through the woodland valley walk and around the picturesque gardens as you search for 16 hidden feathers and eggs, each from a different bird of prey. Collect facts along the way - a fun and educational activity for children and adults alike in the Essex countryside. Once the adventure is completed, head to the Castle’s tearoom to collect your chocolate prize!
As well as the trail, meet real-life birds of prey up close as Eden Falconry will be joining the Castle with their beautiful feathered family - you may even be able to match up a few of the birds from your trail adventure! Mangapps Railway Museum

Mangapps Railway Museum is a privately owned working railway and museum in Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex. It features a 0.75-mile standard passenger carrying line. The Railway has 18 steam and diesel locomotives and over 80 carriages and wagons.
Over the Easter weekend there will be an Easter Egg Hunt and Stream Train Rides.
