The Burnham Waters team look forward to The Burnham Arts Trail each year! This annual event is loved by locals and this year, will run from 24th June -2nd July! Let’s take a closer look at what you can expect to find at the Arts Trail 2023!
What is the Burnham Arts Trail 2023?
The Burnham Arts Trail is held annually, in the last week of June. The Burnham residential community art-lovers host a wonderful week of artistic delight and activities. Local volunteers open up their homes and private studios as art galleries to the public, offering a colourful display of the artworks created by local artists. This is a great chance to see and buy unique artworks, plus meet the artists behind the works!
The Burnham Museum also host art exhibitions during this week to mark the occasion, featuring artwork from resident artists. There’s even an activity spot for families to create their own masterpieces in the museum and the popular ‘taster wall’ is featured here too! This is where every artist or maker displays at least one example of their work, giving visitors an overview of the skills & styles of art on offer throughout the trail. It’s a brilliant event that you can re-visit time and time again if you reside in Essex.
Furthermore, other participating venues throughout Burnham on Crouch generously donate window space for displays for the duration of Burnham Arts Trail week. Venues will stay open 11am-5pm, unless otherwise stated.
This year: Burnham Arts Trail 2023
The 2023 Arts Trail will include both regular and new artists. In total 26 shops, businesses & studios across the town will display work from 31 artists and creatives. Painting, mixed media, drawing, ceramics, jewellery, photography, printmaking and textile art will all be on view and for sale.
The Museum Hub will show four featured artists plus the 'Taster Wall’. Additionally, The Art Trail’s regular schools project will be a Conservation & Coronation themed display sited at the United Reform Church.
