Pumpkin Village Nights: 
Open now - 31st October 2025, from 10am

Visit Essex' premium pumpkin picking village & Halloween shopping experience - next door to Marsh Farm in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex.

Choose from a wide variety of Pumpkins, Gords and Squashes.

Pick your own pumpkin at Sarah Green’s Organic Farm: 
Open now - 31st October 2025, 10am – 4pm

Why not make the most of the autumnal weather and head out to Sarah Green’s Organic Farm (Tillingham) for a spot of pumpkin picking! Explore the wide range of pumpkins available and while you are there, why not enjoy a tea/coffee/hot chocolate and a homemade cake at the farm’s café, the Leeky Cauldron. The farm is open every weekends and during half term, 10am - 4pm. Free entry, no booking. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Hurley’s Pumpkin Forest: 
October 2025, 9am – 7pm

Another option if you are looking to ‘pick your own’ pumpkin this year is Hurley’s Pumpkin Forest. This popular patch in Battlesbridge is the place for you. Throughout October, you’ll find thousands of plump pumpkins and squashes to choose from. You may even see a few surprises in preparation for spooky season!

Based in the middle of the Essex countryside, avid pumpkin pickers can enjoy entry to the forest grounds at both standard and twilight times by pre-booking a slot online.  The forest is open daily.

Autumn Craft Market & Halloween Spooky Trail: 
25th October 2025, 12pm – 4pm

Get ready for a day filled with creativity, crafts, and spooky thrills at the Danbury Autumn Craft Market & Halloween Spooky Trail!  

Craft Market: Explore a vibrant selection of handmade crafts, artisanal goods, and seasonal treats at the local craft market. From unique home décor and bespoke jewellery to delicious jams and gourmet delights, you’ll find something for everyone.  

Halloween Spooky Trail: Prepare for a spine-tingling adventure as you follow the Halloween Spooky Trail through Danbury Community Woodland. Embark on a fun and slightly eerie journey, with quirky characters, themed stops, and spooky surprises. Perfect for little ghouls and goblins (and brave adults too!), this trail promises a mix of thrills, chills, and family fun. Prizes will be awarded for the spookiest, funniest, and most creative outfits!

Whether you’re looking for handmade gifts, festive fun, or simply a day out with the family, the Danbury Autumn Craft Market & Halloween Spooky Trail has something for everyone.  It is free entry to the craft market. A small charge applies for the Spooky Trail.

Halloween display in Burnham-on-Crouch: 
31st October 2025 from 5pm

Self proclaimed as one of the best Halloween house displays in Essex! Why not pay a visit to this house on Eastern Road and prepare to be impressed! This year’s display will be raising funds for the Farleigh Hospice Charity – so not only will you be getting into the Halloween spirit, but by donating, you will also be contributing to a fantastic, local cause too.

Halloween at The Museum of Power: 
31st October 2025, 9:30am – 3pm

Visit the Museum of Power for arts, crafts and other spooky activities.

The Miniature Railway will be running a night train (charge of £2 per adult and £1 per child) and the Steam Pump Tea Room open for food and refreshments.

As well as free entry to the Model Village, there is free entry to the Museum and free car parking.

Our retirement bungalows at Burnham Waters

All of our bungalows enjoy flexible, open-plan living, with floor to ceiling windows that welcome in lots of natural light. Our homes incorporate high-quality fixtures, fittings, and appliances throughout. The kitchens include Quartz worktops and Bosch appliances, while the bathrooms include high-end fittings and sanitaryware.

All homes have bi-fold doors opening onto a private patio area and the halls, utility rooms, lounges, and kitchens are fitted with beautiful, hardwearing oak or chestnut effect vinyl plank flooring. Luxury carpets are fitted to all bedrooms, and all bathrooms and en-suites feature tiled floors. There is underfloor heating throughout.  

Each property has a driveway for two cars with an electric  vehicle charging point and bicycle and bin storage.
