Midsummer Music Festival: Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July
The annual Midsummer Music Festival takes place at Creeksea Place Farm. This event delivers two evenings of delicious local food and talented musicians!
As well as a line-up of fantastic singers and bands, there will be local food vendors, a beer tent, a cocktail bar and fun activities for the kids!
It is recommended that you walk to the event but there will be parking available at the Parlour Cafe and the overflow parking will be open.

Wheels Hooves & Paws: Saturday 27th July 2024
Taking place at Elm Farm House, this is a fun event for the whole family! Peruse an impressive array of historic cars, motorcycles and tractors, or watch the horse show and/or the dog show! There will also be a host of stalls and refreshments available, along with activities for the children. This is a charity event, in aid of Church Restorations. Admission is by donation.

Royal Burnham Yacht Club
There is no doubt that the yacht club sits at the heat of the community in Burnham on Crouch. Over the summer there are some great opportunities to get involved - for both the water lovers and the foodies among us!
Cadet Regatta: 15th - 18th August
For the younger members an opportunity to participate in their own, dedicated regatta.
The Club's Head Chef Dan Hull will be offering a range of taster session - open to all:

Burnham Week: 24th – 31st August 2024
Burnham Week is a popular annual sailing event, held in Burnham on Crouch every August. Commonly known as the East Coast's most challenging and friendly regatta, there are over 20 categories to enter, from dinghies and cruisers to Dragons and Gig racing. There is plenty to do both on and off the water, all culminating in an impressive firework display on the final day.
Spectators can gather along the riverfront or on nearby hills to get a good view of the action, while enjoying a festival atmosphere. There are multiple food and drink vendors, offering a variety of produce as well as music, and other entertainment.
Most days the start line will be at Pile House, which is a 15 minute stroll downriver. Spectators can sit on the sea wall and watch the races. The yacht clubs will be open, serving refreshments and visitors are welcome to enjoy snacks and drinks while watching the sailing from the riverside balconies. You can also enjoy meals and drinks at the many pubs along the Quay and in the High Street.

The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club
If you are seeking something more active, another local yacht club, the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club offers a full range of watersports and social events, with something to suit all ages. Its popular junior section, The Corinthian Otters offers a range of activities tailored for those specifically aged 7-18 years.
The Club has a stylish clubhouse and bar, serving a range of excellent and reasonably priced food. From the balconies you can enjoy panoramic views of the river, the bird sanctuary on the opposite bank and a vibrant sailing and social scene at weekends.

Blue House Farm
Just 15 minutes from Burnham Waters is Blue House Farm, part of the Essex Wildlife Trust. If you’re a nature and wildlife lover looking for things to do in Burnham on Crouch, this is for you! Immerse yourself in some of the best wilderness Essex offers! From beautiful walking routes, plants and shrubberies to bird hides and grazing animals, there is so much to see on your visit here in over the summer.
A summer wander will treat you with up close views of dragonflies including the emperor dragonfly patrolling the ditches and butterflies flitting through the grass and along the hedgerows. There is a permissive path that passes around the farm, giving access to the three bird hides - this links up with the seawall footpath which can then be taken back to the farm entrance and car park creating a 4 km circular route around the farm.

Burnham and the Dengie Hundred is an area born from the sea. Over thousands of years it has produced many skilled craftsmen and women in the agricultural, fishing and maritime trades. The Burnham on Crouch museum celebrates the working and domestic lives of local people and their families.
Visit the museum and you can enjoy exploring a range of artefacts from the Bronze Age through to the present day. There is an opportunity to learn about the first people to inhabit the area, about the area’s medieval history, and the importance of oysters to the town’s development!
